Well, 2019 has definitely not been a boring year, so far!
Sheila's wedding is less than a month away! I think she has everything taken care of. We met with the restaurant and made our meal selections for the reception. Everything sounds really yummy! I got Nam's suit for the wedding. He is going to look so handsome! I still haven't bought my dress, and Dennis hasn't bought his vest and khakis. That's really all we need to do to be ready. The cake is going to be simple, so there isn't any prep that I need to do for that. I'll just bake and ice it the day before and add the fresh berries the day of the wedding.
Daddy and Bobbie are both doing about the same. Bobbie wears out easily, so they usually just make the Sunday morning assemblies now. Neither have had to go to the ER lately. Daddy hasn't even had any doctor visits in several weeks. I hope things continue along as smoothly as they have been for a good while!
I've been going to the podiatrist with my right ankle. After wearing my boot for 4 weeks, I moved on to wearing a lace-up brace for a couple of weeks. It didn't really work very well. So Wednesday, my doctor put me back in the boot for another 2 weeks. Plus he gave me a steroid shot in my ankle (OUCH!) and put me on ibuprofen 3x/day. My ankle feels better than it has in a LONG time! I'm hoping that this will allow it to heal up, so I can do without any extra support after my 2 weeks are up. I'm really hoping that I will be able to walk normally again when this is all over!
Dennis has been busy working on Sheila and Matt's wedding present: a solid oak king-size bed. It is coming along well, but is very time-consuming. He is HOPING to have it finished before the wedding, but that will depend on how many more interruptions he has.
We have a short trip planned to Paris next weekend. Dennis needs to talk over some financial stuff with Stephen, and I really need to see my grandkids! I'm also really looking forward to seeing Stephen and Mandy's new home. I'm really happy that they have been able to get a nice place in the country for their kiddos to grow up at.
Tomorrow is potluck Sunday. Bryan P. and Jett are supposed to be our guest speakers for the day. Ron and Karen will be hosting the potluck. Looking forward to a good day of fellowship! I hope you all have a wonderful Lord's Day as well!
