Well we are definitely on the home stretch to our meeting. I'm HOPING that everything gets done in time! For some crazy reason, we decided to redo the guest room and hall bathroom this week. Ricky finished painting the guest room yesterday, so I hope to get everything put back together and cleaned today. I finished stripping the wallpaper in the bathroom yesterday and Rick started texturing the walls. He has today and tomorrow to finish texturing and get it painted, so I can get it cleaned up. I'm excited about the changes, but I'm not sure we picked the best time to implement them!
I've got most of my baking done for this weekend. I still have some pumpkin pull-apart bread to bake, plus put together my enchiladas for Sunday potluck and make my banana pudding. So I think I'm in good shape as far as my cooking is concerned. I'll be finishing that up tomorrow and Friday, Lord willing.
Today, I have some CASA stuff to tend to. I have a visitation to attend at CPS in Weatherford this morning, plus a visit with my family here in MW this afternoon. I also have to get my refrigerator cleaned out and get the guest room reassembled and cleaned.
I think we are going to have another great crowd this weekend. So looking forward to seeing everyone and hearing the Spunky Creek guys' lessons! I'm a little concerned about our proposed picnic in the park on Saturday...there is a 40% chance of rain that day. We may have to cancel it at the last minute. I need to do some calling around to see what everyone else thinks!
Well, I guess I'd better get started with my day. I hope the rest of the week goes well for all of you, and I hope to see some of you this weekend!
Heb 4:9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

No more empty nest!
I'm pretty much over my cold now (that I woke up with the day I had my colonoscopy done!). Dennis caught it last week and suffered through the work week, sneezing and coughing. He didn't miss any work, but his boss took pity on him and let him have a couple of days that he didn't have to work 10 hours. He is much better now, too. I guess it is that time of year!
Ricky has moved back home! He drove all night and made it in this morning about the time we were waking up. Haven't had a chance to talk to him yet. I really missed him during the last year and half that he lived in Arkansas. I am looking forward to having him around again. He adds a lot of love and laughter to my life!
We are enjoying these cooler days! Last week was a scorcher...every day in the 100's, until Saturday. The forecast shows temps in the 90's for this week with another front coming through Saturday. SO ready for fall!
Visited "my babies" last week. The little one is looking so good! The first time I saw him, his little thighs weren't much bigger around than my thumb. A little over a month later, they are almost as big around as my wrists. He has almost doubled his weight. He is one of the sweetest and happiest babies I've ever seen. I hope and pray that little guy never has to go hungry another day in his life, and that he will end up with a loving and stable family.
I hope your week goes well and that we all remember how very blessed we are!
Ps 107:8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! 9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
