Shower for Baby Jesse

I met up with Sheila Friday afternoon to go to Paris for Mandy's baby shower. I finally got to see her office and meet her work fellows.  Her boss let her leave early, so we got on the road around 3:00.

When we arrived in Paris, we met up with Stephen for supper and then went to watch "The Hobbit."  Mandy had been sick all week and didn't feel like getting out.  She wanted to be well rested for the shower the next morning.  We enjoyed getting to spend a little time with them.

The shower was really nice!  Mandy (and Jesse) got a LOT of nice things!  The brunch that Melanie and Doris and Brenda prepared was yummy, too.

I'm thankful that we had the opportunity to share in Mandy's special day.  After the food, games and gifts, we had to head on back home.  It was nerve-wracking navigating the rain-slicked roads, but we made it home without incident.
