We are on day 8 in Vietnam, and we are really ready to go home! Jessica left Monday, which turned out to be a rough day for Nam. We weathered through as best we could, staying in our apartment to make things easier. Thankfully things greatly improved by the next morning. It is amazing what a good night's sleep will do!
Sheila has already obtained Nam's passport and taken him for his medical exam and Tb test. We go back first thing in the morning for them to read his test, then we fly to Hanoi. Sheila will pick up his Visa on Friday, as well as interview with the US embassy. We are HOPING to leave early to head home...either over the weekend or Monday, at the latest. That will get us home in time for Thanksgiving ! Nam can hardly wait to meet his Grandad. He asks for him all the time! Grandad is pretty excited about meeting him, too! They have face-timed already, but that's not as good as being face to face!
We haven't done much sightseeing. HCMC is HUGE and busy and hot. Not very enjoyable for having fun. We did venture out to the zoo this morning before it got too hot. Nam really enjoyed that, but it wore us all out. We are looking forward to cooler temperatures when we get home!
Nam is such a joy. He is full of life and loves to have fun. He is all boy, full of energy and mischief! He loves to tease! He continues to amaze us with his intelligence and resourcefulness. His vocabulary grows daily.
The next couple of days are going to be full. Hopefully we can fly home soon after that. Vietnam has been an adventure that we will always be thankful for, but we are ready for home and family!
